Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using BookmarkHub ([legal entity name], "BookmarkHub," "we," "us"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to them, the only instruction we can give is not to use the service. We may update these terms as described in Changes to these terms below.

2. What BookmarkHub is

BookmarkHub lets you save URLs along with a note and tags, search across all of it, group saves into named collections, and optionally publish a collection as a read-only page at a link you control. There's a free plan capped at 20 bookmarks and a paid Pro plan that removes the cap and adds collections, sharing, and the browser extension — see the pricing section on the homepage for current details. A browser extension is also available for saving pages without leaving them.

3. Your account

• You need an account to use BookmarkHub, created with an email and password or through Google sign-in. You're responsible for keeping your credentials to yourself and for whatever happens under your account as a result of not doing that.
• The name and email you give us should be accurate — this is a small, personal tool, not a platform built to detect fake identities, but account recovery (password resets, support requests) depends on that information actually reaching you.
• You must be old enough in your country to agree to these terms on your own behalf. BookmarkHub isn't directed at children — see the Privacy Policy's Children's privacy section.
• One account per person is the expectation; you're welcome to sign out and use a different account, but creating multiple accounts specifically to get around the 20-bookmark free-plan limit isn't a good-faith use of the free tier.

4. Your content

Everything you save — URLs, notes, tags, collection names — is yours. We don't claim ownership of it, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train anything. What we need from you is a narrow, practical license: permission to store it, display it back to you, and — only if and where you explicitly turn sharing on for a specific collection — show it on a public read-only page at an unguessable link. That's the entire license; it ends the moment the content does, whether you delete a bookmark, turn sharing back off, or close your account.

You're responsible for what you save and for what you choose to make public by sharing a collection. Don't save or publish anything you don't have the right to save or publish, or anything illegal. Exporting a full copy of everything you've saved is available any time from the account menu — see the Privacy Policy's Your rights section.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use BookmarkHub for anything illegal, or to store or share content you don't have the right to.
• Attempt to break, bypass, or overload the service — probing for vulnerabilities without authorization, hammering the API outside of normal use, or working around the rate limits and plan restrictions described in the Privacy Policy.
• Use the service to distribute malware, phishing links, or spam, including through a published share page.
• Scrape, resell, or systematically extract data from the service outside of the export feature built for exactly that purpose.

6. Plans & billing

• Free costs nothing and stays free — there's no trial timer and no feature that quietly stops working after a fortnight. It's capped at 20 bookmarks; everything you've already saved past that point stays fully searchable and editable, you just can't add a 21st until you upgrade or remove some.
• Pro is a paid monthly subscription (current price shown on the pricing page) that removes the bookmark cap and unlocks collections, public sharing, and the browser extension. Payment, when Pro is available for purchase, is processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms — we don't receive or store your card details.
• You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time. Cancelling switches your account to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period; nothing is deleted, and anything over the Free cap stays visible and editable, just not addable to, until you upgrade again.
• Fees, once billing is live, are non-refundable except where required by law, though we'd rather just fix a genuine billing mistake than point at this clause.

7. Third-party services

BookmarkHub relies on a small number of third-party services to work: Stripe for payment processing, Google for optional sign-in and for the typeface loaded on every page, DuckDuckGo for the small site icons shown next to each bookmark, Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you're not a bot on sign-up and sign-in, and Umami for privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics. Each operates under its own terms and privacy policy, which we don't control. Details on exactly what's sent to each one are in the Privacy Policy.

8. Ending an account

You can stop using BookmarkHub at any time; export your data first if you want a copy; see the Privacy Policy for how to request deletion. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates Acceptable use above, or that we're legally required to act on, and we'll tell you why where we're able to. If we ever discontinue BookmarkHub entirely, we'll give notice and a reasonable window to export your data before shutting anything down.

9. Availability & disclaimers

BookmarkHub is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time — this is a small service, not one backed by a formal uptime commitment. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, BookmarkHub and [legal entity name] aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost data or lost access to saved bookmarks — which is also exactly why the export feature exists: don't rely on any single copy, including ours, as your only one. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer-protection law gives you rights these terms can't override.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that meaningfully affects your rights, we'll update the date at the top and, where required, tell you directly rather than relying on you to re-check this page. Continuing to use BookmarkHub after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
